The capital of Paraná, Curitiba, was elected as one of the 30 best destinations in the world to visit in 2025, according to the Lonely Planet platform, a reference in the travel segment. The recognition gives even more visibility to the destination, one of the most sought after by foreign tourists visiting Brazil.
Since the beginning of the year, the state has received 675,108 visitors from other countries, the majority of whom came from South America.
In highlighting the tourist potential of the place, Lonely Planet emphasizes that Curitiba "values its citizens as well as its tourists" and offers an "immersive experience" to those who visit the city.
Natural and architectural beauty, museums and the famous Botanical Garden were some of the highlights considered by the website when deciding on the city. Special tourist options, such as the train ride between Curitiba and Morretes, passing through mountains and tropical forests, were also considered in the evaluation.
STOPOVER - Those planning a trip with a connection in Curitiba can take advantage of the opportunity to make a stopover of up to three days in the city at no extra cost on their airfare. The benefit can be used on the outbound or return journey of the original flight and is being offered on routes operated by LATAM.
The stopover options can also be used for other destinations, such as São Paulo, Brasília, Fortaleza, Recife, Manaus or Belém, by the airlines Gol and Latam, according to the availability of each of the operators.
